ForestWave Chartering B.V. is looking for an Experienced Vessel Dry Cargo Charterer to join our chartering team in Groningen. Reporting to the Director Chartering, you will play a key role in ensuring the commercial success of our fleet and supporting our clients worldwide.

ForestWave Chartering B.V. manages the commercial employment of our vessels, providing flexible and reliable chartering solutions. Our fleet operates across the North Sea, Baltic Sea, Mediterranean Sea and Atlantic Basin, carrying dry bulk, breakbulk, general cargo and specialised project shipments. We work internationally and are committed to sustainable, efficient, and customer-focused shipping.
As a Charterer, you will be responsible for managing a portfolio of vessels. Your main tasks include:
o Handling bids, negotiations, fixtures, and related documentation;
o Overseeing commercial, operational and financial performance in line with KPI’s;
o Maintaining and improving profitability through sound commercial decisions;
o Building and maintaining strong relationships with cargo owners, producers and partners;
o Staying up to date with market developments, technology and industry trends.
The ideal candidate has:
o A maritime or shipping education (seagoing experience is a plus);
o Experience as a vessel charterer, with practical knowledge of the shipping market;
o Understanding of international shipping and contract law;
o Strong commercial, negotiation and analytical skills;
o A proactive, solution-oriented approach and a 24/7 shipping mentality;
o Excellent English (spoken and written). German and/or French is a plus;
o Team-player attitude, accuracy, initiative and resilience under pressure.

Preferred education: Maritime Officer (Marof), Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, Shipping/Logistics Management, or Technical Business Administration.
Career level: All levels, including Trainees/Graduates, Junior Officers, and Experienced Professionals (e.g., Captains, Engineers, and Senior Superintendents).
