What you (may) expect
In this role, you will be part of the Marine Services Department. The Marine Services department is responsible for overseeing all marine operations carried out with the Anthony Veder fleet, ensuring vessels operate efficiently, reliably, and in line with operational requirements from both the company and its clients.
As Marine Superintendent, your focus is on enabling safe, efficient, and effective operations. You play a key role in supporting vessels during special cargo operations and conducting compatibility studies ensuring the associated STS and LNG bunker operations are prepared and executed in compliance with the highest standard.
The objective of the Marine Superintendent position is to optimise marine operations and provide direct support to the vessels, terminals, and internal teams for the successful execution of each special operation.
Key responsibilities:
Perform and assess compatibility studies between vessels and terminals to ensure safe and feasible cargo operations.
Monitor vessel performance and operational KPIs related to STS operations and LNG bunker operations.
Act as advisor to all internal stakeholders to drive improvements and facilitate in operational excellence.
Attend vessels during critical operations, first-time port calls, or new trade routes to provide on-site supervision and support.
Participate in specific projects/initiatives related to vessel design or upgrades with emphasis to operational performance of cargo and mooring equipment.
Provide operational guidance and support to vessels during special cargo operations including Gas Up Cool Down, Purging and LNG Bunkering.
Support in the need of training and improvement for officers and engineers on cargo and mooring operations.
Occasionally coordination of inspections and follow-up on inspection results (SIRE and CDI).

What we ask
A relevant bachelor’s degree or equivalent with demonstrable experience within the maritime industry (sea and/or office).
Skills in planning, organising, and prioritising to ensure successful project outcomes.
Stakeholder management skills with effective communication and the ability to engage with diverse stakeholders.
A proactive and solution-oriented mindset to drive improvements and facilitate operational excellence in the marine services to our fleet and organisation.
You are willing to travel to our vessels when needed (worldwide).
Driver’s license.
