🔧 Vacancy Announcement: Medior Infrastructure Officer – Hybrid Cloud & Networking

**Job Type:** Full-time | On-site

About the Role

We are seeking a proactive and skilled Medior Infrastructure Officer to join our Rijeka team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the stability, security, and performance of IT systems across a dynamic hybrid cloud environment. You will be responsible for monitoring, patching, system management, and networking operations to support business continuity and compliance with internal and external standards.

Key Responsibilities

·         Monitor infrastructure health across on-prem and cloud environments.

Analyze performance metrics and proactively address bottlenecks.

·         Maintain system documentation and ensure accurate logging of activities.

·         Coordinate and execute patching schedules for servers, endpoints, and network devices.

·         Ensure compliance with security baselines and update policies.

·         Collaborate with security teams to validate patch effectiveness and risk mitigation.

·         Manage virtual and physical servers, storage, and network components.

·         Configure and maintain switches, firewalls, routers, and VPNs.

·         Support backup, disaster recovery, and failover strategies.

·         Implement changes and upgrades in line with ITIL and Kanban methodologies.

·         Work closely with IT Operations, Security, and Application management teams.

·         Provide 2nd line support and resolve infrastructure and network-related incidents.

·         Participate in infrastructure-related projects

Qualifications

**Education & Certification**

·         master degree in IT or related field.

·         Microsoft certifications (e.g., MCSA, Azure Fundamentals) preferred.

·         Networking certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) are a plus.

·         Familiarity with ITIL, Kanban, and hybrid cloud principles.

**Experience**

·         3–5 years in infrastructure or system/network administration roles.

·         Proven experience with patching, monitoring, and system lifecycle management.

**Technical Skills**

·         Proficiency in Windows Server, Active Directory, and virtualization platforms.

·         Experience with monitoring tools (e.g., Azure Monitor, SCCM, Tanium).

·         Strong understanding of networking technologies (e.g., VLANs, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).

·         Experience with firewall management, VPN configuration, and network troubleshooting.

·         Familiarity with hybrid cloud architecture and automation (e.g., PowerShell, Terraform).

**Soft Skills**

·         Strong analytical and communication skills.

·         Ability to work independently and in cross-functional teams.

·         Fluent in English and Croatian.

·         High system and network uptime and performance.

·         Timely and compliant patching across environments.

Documented infrastructure and network changes and incident resolutions.

·         Contribution to infrastructure and network optimization and cost control.
